چکیده
This paper focuses on transducers, which are the most important components of bone conduction implants. To improve vibration magnitude, we develop a coil transducer in driver mass loading is reduced by about 3.25-fold compared to magnet transducers. We use finite element analysis derive and implement maximum Lorentz force frequency characteristics. compare effect magnitude that an older transducer. The new vibrates 4.4-fold more strongly. between two output measured using artificial mastoid. imparted higher than only below 1.4 kHz, tends be lower at high frequencies. Nevertheless, improved low-frequency region will conductive hearing loss.

Implantable bone-conduction hearing device: practical considerations.
An implantable bone conduction hearing device can be of significant benefit to carefully selected patients with noncorrectable conductive hearing losses. However, for some patients the device has significant limitations. This paper presents several practical issues that need to be considered before a decision is made regarding implant surgery. It is recommended that, whenever possible, air cond...

Unilateral Conductive or Mixed Hearing Loss Unilateral implantable bone conduction (bone-anchored) hearing aid may be considered medically necessary as an alternative to an air-conduction hearing aid in patients 5 years of age and older with a conductive or mixed hearing loss when ONE of the following medical criteria is met: Congenital or surgically induced malformations (eg, atresia) of the...
متن کاملThe balanced electromagnetic separation transducer a new bone conduction transducer.
Conventional bone conduction transducers, which are relatively large, suffer from poor performance at low frequencies. A new type of electro-dynamic transducer, the balanced electromagnetic separation transducer (BEST), was developed to improve the performance of the conventional transducers. By using a balanced suspension principle, the quadratic distortion forces, as well as the static forces...
متن کاملBonebridge Bone Conduction Implant
In this issue, we have an interesting review article by Dr. Mario Zernotti and his team in Cordoba on the Bonebridge bone conduction implant. Bone conduction implants are indicated for patients with conductive, mixed, or unilateral hearing loss. The transcutaneous technology employed avoids common complications such as cutaneous reactions, skin covering the abutment, local infection, or extrusi...
متن کاملDirect bone conduction stimulation: Ipsilateral effect of different transducer attachments in active transcutaneous devices
Active transcutaneous bone conduction devices, where the transducer is implanted, are used for rehabilitation of hearing impaired patients by directly stimulating the skull bone. The transducer and the way it is attached to the bone play a central role in the design of such devices. The actual effect of varying the contact to bone has not been addressed yet. The aim of this study is therefore t...
